my girlfriend and i have been dating for about one month and she doesn't hold my hand. but yesterday she grabbed my sides to get my attention. is there any hope that i will ever get to act like her boyfriend.

Obviously she is not as serious into this relationship as you are. You might as well get over it and accept the fact that she wants more of a brother-sister relationship or a best friends relationship and that it is not going to be anything more...at least for the present time.
