Hey Kayla,

What your friend has is called Hyperhidrosis, it's a condition that over 8 million Americans have so she's not alone!

If she's tried regular antiperspirants without success have her try these:

1. Driclor

This is a prescription antiperspirant that contains aluminum chloride in a concentration twice that found in regular antiperspirants(40% vs 20%) which makes it all the more effective. It's worth getting the prescription from the doc for this.

2. Coffee/Sugar/Pop

Ask her to cut down on her coffee, sugar and pop intake as these can all cause anxiety and thus excessive sweating.

3. Sage

Here's an at home herbal solution she can try drinking right before bed...Just get the following ingredients:

* 1 cup of water

* 1 teaspoon of sage powder or 1 tablespoon of sage leaves

* 1 lemon

What you鈥檙e going to do is bring the water to a boil. Once you鈥檝e done that, steep the sage in the water for about 5-10 minutes. Don鈥檛 overdo it since it can lead to toxins being released from the sage. It鈥檚 a delicate balance. Once done, drain it and drink it right before bed.

Hope that helps her out!

has she tried clinical strength ones like secret or degree? they're a lil higher in cost but she may have to try those and if they dont work, see the doctor

another tip: try putting some baking soda under ur arms after you shower and see if that helps too. thats the only home remedy i know of for underarm sweating n odor

you can get a prescription strength deodorant at the doctor's office. they have some that you put on at night, and then you use a regular one during the day.
There is some clinical dove deoderant that I used to use.

This is it. It worked wonders and I don't smell too much or sweat that much either anymore :)
I used to have underarm sweating but luckily I grew out of it. Just have her try one of the deodorants that were listed. I remember I grew out of it by like 16 or 17.
