In our split floor plan home we have a ceiling fan w/remote in our master bedroom and a ceiling fan w/remote in the bedroom at the opposite end of the house. We've been having a weird problem- when we turn off or on the light or adjust the fan speed (on either fan) it often makes the light go on/off or changes the speed on the fan in the opposite room! This is extremely annoying when someone in the other room turns their light off at 1 am and our master bedroom light comes on-please help!Need advice having to do with weird electrical problem with ceiling fans?
Well, the problem is that the radio signal is strong enough that it reaches the room in the far end of the house. And both fans seem to be using the same frequency.
Is there a way that you can set up the remotes so that they use different frequencies?
You should check the instructions, or call the company and they can tell you how to reprogram one of the remotes so that it doesn't conflict with the other one.Need advice having to do with weird electrical problem with ceiling fans?
Your remotes are sending off a radio frequency. I am thinking that your two remotes are sending the same frequency but say fan #1 uses freq. 1 for the light and freq. 2 for the fan speed.
fan #2 uses freq. 2 for the light and freq. 1 for the fan speed.
Look inth the instruction manual to see if you can change freqencies. You probably can with small switches built inside the remotes and fans.
check this link its good

.
Check if the remote have little trip switches, and if so, if they are properly configured to match with the ceiling fans.
Also, you call an electrician and have them see if there is something going on with the wiring.
