Im not getting no other answers in the mental health category so im asking here!!
My ex boyfriend has had a troubled past. He has a hard time controlling his temper when angry (one of the reasons it didn't work between us) he has depression and i personally think he lives in the past to damn MUCH. But besides all that i still love him and we are still friends but here recently he has opened up to me a lot about his past. He told me he killed a little cat once and that he use to talk to imaginary people and he use to spend hours alone by his self on the streets at night???? I don't know what the hell to think or do. He has had a history of suicidal thoughts and so much more. Should i tell him he needs to get help or is the past the past??My ex boyfriend has serious problems! Need some advice!?
He need mental help - I am glad he is your X - keep it that way. Encourage him to seek help at a clinic or place that treats mental problems. If he realizes he needs help maybe someone can help. Medications may be in order. My ex boyfriend has serious problems! Need some advice!?
He has issue he needs to deal with now...I would suggest he needs to seek treatment...He may need medication to...From what you said here, i see a few problems...Him talking to someone who is not connected to him personally, will be his best chance to get over this...
hi there, sorry to hear you are in this dilema, i would say that the fact that he still has anger issues suggests that he has not dealt with anything about his past. This is a suggestion of mental health issues for sure, killing cats is a very serious sign especially if he was a child. He really does sound like he is a paranoid schizophrenic, all of what you are saying are the symptons of this horrific disease. ALL OF THEM. Being a person who cares about him, i would be asking him for sure if he still hears the voices, either way i stilll truly beleive a medical profesional is the only person qualified to diagnose him with anything, but yes i do think you should ask him to get himself some help. You should do a little researching of your own on schizophrenia, he has all the symptoms of it as it is different for everyone, very often paranoid schizophrenics also try to kill themselves or think about it too. Alot of schizophrenics don;t like to admit to the voices, they are scared of being committed, that is why i wouldn;t say anything to him about schizophrenia, it might scare him, but i would beg him to get help. even if you could g with him maybe, he needs to see a psychiatrist though, not just some general practitioner ok? i hope this was useful, and you are wonderful to be there for him, and it is great that he is confiding in someone as this is the first step to getting help, is him at least telling you some of these horrible things he did, and how he is truly feeling inside i know there is ALOT more you don;t know about, but really good thing, your there for him/ but i would be careful too, as he is obviously unstable right, so just be careful
baby
