Now I have other issues, like w/Internet Explorer always closing because it has 'encountered a problem' etc.. has anyone else been through this and what did they do..? Thanks..I did something to my computer called a 'System Recovery' due to problems, now another issue -any advice?
i have ran into this problem a few times usualy its becuse windows updates are not being done and there is some form of an exploit. What i would try is upgrading your browser. The easiest way is to go to tools and do the windows updates. that will install ie 7 and all the fixes. if for some reason you can not do that i would recomend using the firefox browser.

I have had the same problem, after re-installing IE7 everything became normal try to reinstall IE

i don't know how long you've had your computer, but when you do system recovery it brings the software back to the way it was originally. you will probably need to reinstall programs that you need/added since then, and will also need to do updates for any programs that came with the computer. maybe the updates will help. also why not just stop using internet explorer now that you have these problems and start using firefox-looks and works very much like ie except much better, its a free download just about everywhere. good luck btw, i always consider system recovery a last resort. most problems can be fixed without such an overly invasive procedure.
If reinstalling the internet explorere then download another browser like Firefox or opera if that dosen't work the make a fresh installation of your operation system
reinstall IE. do a virus scan.
